There are a few decent pots on there but most are quintessential tuition pots. Some of the comments are .
The Squirrel pot from MarkS is pretty nice though. A nice find

Re: Yixing
Wanted to caution anyone interested in Yixing and their identification: there is a quite popular, but ultimately pretty misleading FB group called Yixing Teapots & Chinese Porcelain Marks . I keep being stupefied by how little the moderators do seem to know. It is really hair-raising sometimes... i...

Re: Tong Xin She (TXS) Teahouse
I've had more than a few things from TXS, whomever is responsible for roasting those teas must like coffee tbh. The roast overpowered the normal profile of yancha. I still have a few tins of txs like dan gui and others that I probably won't ever drink. :cry: I remember when someone suggested I try ...

Great feedback, thanks!
I was planing to reach out to her about the possibility of buying samples so it is good to know that it is possible. Hopefully shipping for just samples isn’t anywhere near $25.

@Benjamin
This is true. Finding good goods is a lot easier than it used to be. We have a number of vendors that offer a decent curated selection of semi aged teas w/ good storage conditions.

I just payed roughly 8300nt for a 2003 Xiaguan iron "XIAO FEI" so I guess I’m one of those people.

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
Sipping on a few samples from Houde. The 2001 green sun cake is soft mellow tea with a nice herbal profile. Is it worth $575/cake? Not sure I’d pay that much but clearly someone else did because it is officially sold out. The 2009 “spring of bin dao” has a nice minty cooling effect but is a rather h...

Re: Yixing
Chadrinkincat: are we going to get to see some gold on that lid soon, or is it still holding together for now? And, if you pardon my ignorance, could you please clarify what the 'hide line' is meant to be? It feels like one of those spot the difference games, comparing it to my only 60s pot, and I'...

Re: Yixing
I recently acquired this little beauty. It is a good example of a 60’s pot w/ “hide line” on seal. From my understanding this is caused by use of a worn out stamp seal.

Re: Puerh from sthirtytea.com
Anyone buy puerh from this vendor in Taiwan? Specifically this cake or the other XG raw cakes https://www.sthirtytea.com/product-page/2001-下關茶王-黃印-xiao-guan-cha-wang-yellow-ticket I saw them pop up on Instagram, but haven’t heard anything. Looks like some young people tea start up. Or second genera...
