Re: Aged sheng - best of the cheap

.21 to .40 a gram you could buy some good aged stuff. You can check Discord and search Bamboo Spring and 8653. I been getting some good stuff in from 2003 and 2005 ranges.

Re: Puerh storage concerns

It’s nice to know to that you think my situation is recoverable. I’ve learned my lesson, pay attention to your storage status. :) I run 72% till the tea fully hydrates. You will notice the boveda will still be soft and flexible when the tea can't absorb more than that. I normally go through all my ...

2006 Changtai LMRM. Very clean storage, Bangwei material and notes of dried fruit in there. YiWu area so not a bunch of kicking in the mouth like I usually prefer.

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking

2006 XiaGuan Xiao Ma FT7513. Made for Malaysian export. I think these were very tippy and made for only 2 runs I believe. Good notes and storage or blend make it seem like a budget Yan Qing Hao cake. Bitter, tart , citrusy, smoky, sweet in the finish. Very interesting.

Re: Foreign matter in Liu Bao

I think someone once referred to stuff like that as a "bonus prize." Was that you mrmopu? Probably some bit of rock, cement or dirt from processing. I prefer those to the chicken feathers, hairs or cigarette butts that I've found before  Yeah probably. Either that or unexpected treasure! :mr...

Re: Dayi 7542

Also, 2010 7572 looks like this: ./download/file.php?id=6787 I guess once they had a fake that's green and has the number 7572 on it, they decided that it was more plausible to pass it for a tea with the same color and a different number, than a tea with a different color entirely :D Good catch Ste...

FAKE as mentioned 7542 is a raw production 7572 is a shou and should have a red outer wrapper.

I think I am going to order one. How would I know that it is counterfeit? Do they fake those fancy hologrammed wrapper security seals too?
If you want to link the item for sale in here I can take a look and see if there any discrepancies on it that stand out. Wrapper, seals and so forth.

Re: Dayi 7542

I am with octo that the pre-bubble 7542's are much better. I have a couple of these around but to be honest I like the Spring of Menghai and the 7532's a bit more. Just my preference though. And seeing how you liked the 2001 I would try and find another if you could. Any favorite source/year for Sp...

Teas We Like has a 2010 version of the 7542 that I quite like - very nice aroma with good stone fruit notes.
Wonder if rainy would like one of those HK style 8582's that I have?

Re: Random pics of piled tea

LP will have the FTDY and cheaper than KTM too I think. He also bought the 2008 XG Kylin cakes too. L iquid P roust ? hmmm... while i (still) don't have the same customs issues with small US parcels... i fear the size of it ( the bigger the more it stands the higher chances to get stopped ), althou...
