Re: How does a westerner learn yixing?
I'm not completely convinced that you got scammed. While it is obviously a lot of money, and lot of disappointment for you, the price might be close to what might have originally paid for them. Of course, there is probably a reason why he wanted to unload himself of them. The "F1" pot might be a ho...

Re: How does a westerner learn yixing?
I bought these from edited . He is edited on tea chat. Well respected, and knowledgeable enough to know what he was selling me. You could try asking him for refund on fake F1. Im unsure is $300 was fair but the julunzhu looks like decent modern zhuni. What did he tell you about the those 2 pots tha...

How does a westerner learn yixing?
It has recently been brought to my attention that I was scammed on almost every pot I’ve bought. I’ve spent hours looking at pictures. All my pots look like the pics to me. I worked with someone who is well respected in the community. Looks like that was a mistake. So, if I can’t touch before I buy,...

Re: How to brew Dan congs Western style?
Dc does not like long infusions. Super easy to over steep. I’ve had some luck with 185f and super quick infusions with 7 grams to 200ml. That was some cheaper dc. If it’s good dc, I’d suggest against western brewing.

What size pot do you like?
I find that I use different size pots for different tea, and they really run the gamut. For yancha I have a 60ml pot (my smallest). I have a 150 (my largest)that I like for gaoshan and tightly rolled oolong. My other pots for pu and other teas are 100-120.
Where do you like your pot sizes to be?

Re: Should I Buy This Pot?
I think those prices are in TWD. Compare them with EUR or GBP prices ;) Ah! That's weird, I thought there was a U.S. Flag in the top left corner, and I assumed that indicated the currency. It seems the site is still being set up, so I would not go by any prices currently posted. I’m not seeing any ...

Re: TeaVivre high mountain
Teavivre is OK. Its what got me into tea because of the great pricing. I used them for a while. Then I got into higher quality teas. IMO you can do better for a few bucks more an OZ.
