Re: Tea “Poisoning”
@OCTO Very nice looking setup! Were these sold as cupping set, or did you mix and match yourself?

Re: Different ways to brew WuYi YanCha... what’s your favourite?
I'm still pretty much experimenting with my Yancha brewing at this point. Been using a small gaiwan and occasionally a high quality zini pot and a Chaozhou pot. Without a proper guidance, I really don't know what I'm doing. For example, I feel like I don't taste anything special from the tea from th...

Re: Please some advice on Dancong
@theredbaron I just sampled Cindy's old bush Milan Xiang DC, and thought it was quite nice. Very fragrant. Nice lychee aroma. A little greener than similar DC I had in the past, but not too bad. The Duck Shit one is more green I think

Re: For Shui Ping lovers with small pockets...
That pot is ridiculous! Most expensive and if you ask me most ugly teapot as welll... In regards to performance, it does not really say what the inside consists of, I doubt there are stones inside as well. Diamond has the highest thermal conductivity of known material, so it's probably quite awful ...

pantry it’s just a question of funds ;) Well, we are on a thread titled ‘small pockets’, so there you have it haha  Victoria I got a mogake pot by hokujo. I think @bok got one last year and liked it too? (on a side note, I always feel like a creep reading all you guys’ older posts/discussions ...

I’ve been meaning to visit your store and try your teas in person since I’m nearby. But it looks like you’re only operating online now?

Re: Heating Elements
Which part at the bottom did you recommend re-gluing? Did you mean the plastic case or the gotoku legs? It’s the bottom of the lacquer box that needs regluing. I think that the reflective insert must help it heat faster since it reflects radiant heat. Ah, yours came housed in the wooden furo! Makes...

Re: What's in Lipton Teabags??
...I only avoid it because of the pesticide concern. Hi.. can you tell me more about this? Thanks for your reply I read it from a news article a while back about some of the biggest, internationally known tea brands having the most pesticide residues in a lab test. The company even had to come out ...

Re: Heating Elements
I have one of those! Still need to find a furo to house it, and I'm not using a transformer (is that safe?). I like that it's quiet, but takes forever to boil. I usually bring the water to boil on a stove before transferring to this heater. IMG_0317.JPG If you get one, knock out the bottom, which is...

Re: What's in Lipton Teabags??
Ethan Kurland Thank you so much for your informative reply. Sometimes i like to make very strong tea. And i am a bit addicted to it, I'd rather not dunk 2 teabags into a Mug and look like a weirdo around my room mates. I thought it was as simple as getting it in loose leaf and heaping it into my cu...
