Re: Tea-Masters

No, I'm sure he has more issues stocking than selling those... One sample he included that I really liked was a very well balanced, lightly smoked Lapsang Souchong. It was the best black tea that I've ever had but the price to buy more of it was prohibitive.

Re: Tea-Masters

The foreign samples he includes are sometimes interesting, but I only drink the first brew usually.

The samples he gives scale with the price of your purchase. I got to try some crazy rare teas that he doesn’t stock on the website when I placed a $1,000 purchase.

Re: Tea-Masters

I've had a private tea session with Stephane when he was visiting NYC 2 or 3 years ago. He was very nice and had a specific brewing, storage, and consumption method for each of his teas. I've met a lot of unpleasant (and quite frankly, crazy) people from the tea community, and he's definitely not on...

Re: Tea and Gut Health

Based on my experience, if a person has a sensitive stomach I wouldn’t recommend they drink tea at all. I think it’s a stronger drink than most give it credit for.

2001 Menghai Tea Factory 7432

Hi, Selling the remainder of this cake (~240g) for $50, shipping included in the price (US only). Price of the cake was originally $378 from TWL, they don't plan to have it in stock anymore. Tastes good, had it for about 6 months. "An excellent example of the Menghai Tea Factory 7432 recipe from 200...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking

I’m drinking Da Yu Ling that has been stored in my fridge for 4 months. I did it as an experiment since I had seen this method recommended before. Sadly the tea seems to be of lower quality now, it lost its high bright notes. I had an unopened packet in my cabinet as well, and that tasted nicer to m...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking

Today I’m drinking Organic Wenshan Baozhong from Tea Masters. It’s a nice alternative to my favorite tea, Da Yu Ling though the flavor profile is focused more in the low and mid tones than the highs of DYL. Still, very nice and floral. I’m drinking out of celadon glazed cups which increases the slip...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking

Had my first tea session in about 4 months. I continued on with an opened bag of 98k Da Yu Ling. It was still good and had nice aroma, it tasted a little more bitter than I remember but that could either be from being opened for a while or my usual steeping parameters are too long after I haven’t ha...

Re: Collecting "falling out of love with pu'er" stories from Blogspot

At some point, I lost my voice with tea. I lost the ability to listen to the way every single cup spoke to me; carried me through the nights of learning how to carve out my identity and live on as a single father. It taught me that patience is often rewarded with discovery and enlightenment. At som...

If you're selling by the gram instead of the entire 250g, I'd be happy to buy 50g as well.

I've been wanting to try this tea for a while. :D

Re: FODMAPS / SIBO and Pu'Erh

I would avoid any “real” tea for a while if you’re having stomach issues, since it’s pretty stimulating for the nervous system in comparison to other herbs. Unaged sheng is probably the most stimulating of all teas so I would avoid. PS: Almost any benefit from fermented foods gets lost if they’re he...
