What is color of inside glaze, clear?
The inside is also Celadon-glazed, with some nice pooling effect. I’ve added some photos (inside + bottom).

I have admired her work for a while now. How does the clay perform with oolong and or pu’erh?

Haha, now I see it is glazed inside.
Yep, glazed inside so neutral :)

For sale, a 120ml Turner’s Celadon pot by Inge Nielsen, glazed in and out. Fast and forceful pour, I count about five-six seconds. Multi-hole filter.

Re: Yixing advice

I can't speak to factory pots, but in terms of safety I think the concern is with materials that may leach. After a teapot goes through firing an additive in the clay may (or may not) be essentially stable. If I remember right there was some insightful discussion of this by JBaymore on teachat way ...

Re: Yixing

It is not the real deal, but it looks nice. It has been made to resemble the real deal. It could brew good tea. Thanks! Yes, would’ve been surprised otherwise. It does make good tea and seems to be developing a shine quite quickly. Variations of this pot are currently sold by some well-known vendor...

Re: Yixing

Here’s an interesting pot... sold to me as Benshan Lv Ni, although I take such claims with a healthy dose of scepticism. While I have a couple of Duan Ni pots, this one is rather different in appearance and feel (the clay has more of an obvious yellow colour and feels more delicate). What do people ...

Re: KingTeaMall

Don’t mean to divert this thread further, but since it’s already turned into more of a modern zhuni discussion... here, two “modern zhuni” pots from my collection. Neither are from KTM, but might be useful for comparison. 🙂 Both are very dense and metallic-sounding, especially the darker red one (th...

Re: Yixing advice

There is this guy in China on Fb who is testing all sorts of Yixing with scientific methods. All in all it tells you what is in the clay, yet it does not tell anything about long term exposure when using these pots. If there negative side effects they are probably only apparent in the long term. Dr...

Re: Yixing advice

I’ve had a question in mind about more modern F1 (White Label onwards) and F2 pots. We know that pots from the 90s onwards are more likely to contain a certain amount of artificially added oxides, like Fe oxide in Hongni and Mg oxide in Zini. From what I know, for F1/F2 there was a legal cap to how ...

Re: Teaware Repair Show-off

jessepat84 nice! Did you go for a final layer of lacquer to seal the gold? I skipped this as I found that it darkens the gold too much for my taste. Had to add another layer of gold. I also left it without. With other items I’ve also done a second round where needed, but suppose it will change in a...

Re: Teaware Repair Show-off

Earlier this year I started teaching myself some kintsugi and the first pieces are now (almost) ready. I’ll post some here as they come along :-) First off is a jianshui zitao pot lid, quite a small thing to fix but still lots of work. Part of the rim needed reconstructing with tonoko powder, the re...

FS: F1 White Label Hongni Xishi (100 ml)

Hi everybody, I have a single F1 white label hongni xishi for sale, originally from 2088taiwan. Although it does a nice job with oolong, it's seen less use than my other pots so offering it to a new home . Price: 100 EUR / 110 USD (plus shipping), includes an ambient CD for your tea sessions :) For ...

Re: some teapots for sale

I got the small Nian Gao pot. Very nice :) as it begins to season I think it’ll work nicely with some roasted oolongs. Thanks to Andrei for the careful packaging!
