Re: Shipping Delays on tea

Yamada Sou houhin, I presume? So lovely.

I've been quite pleased with shipping times on my tea & teaware orders recently: an order from Vietnam took just over a week; I was a little surprised by how quickly items arrived from Artistic Nippon and from the Tokoname teapot catalog eBay site.

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking

Is that lid just the slightest bit pushed up from the pot?

Having a lovely session with JingTeaShop's Shui Jin Gui, a very mellow yancha with pleasing rock taste, earthiness, hint of sweet, very little plum, touch of astringency, and no bitterness. Just nice.

Re: What Green Are You Drinking

Five Penny (Yen Bai) green tea from Hatvala, Vietnam Five Penny is a highly refreshing wild green tea from Suoi Giang in Yen Bai province. The tea produces a smooth, sweet liquor with light floral notes that become sweeter and more grassy with each infusion. A gentle hint bitterness on the tongue se...

Re: Pros & Cons of Using Ceramic Tea Caddies

It didn't take me long to realize that ugly mylar-lined packets of tea were something I'd just have to deal with, because they effectively preserve the delicate flavors and aromas of many teas so much better than anything else. But I like my sakura canister and find it seals well enough for the coup...

Bai Mu Dan, chilled/sparkling, delicious.....it works marvelous as a chilled sparkling tea. Very like champagne!

Because I have often tossed some Bai Mu Dan on orders from new-to-me online tea shops, I have an abundance of BMD to sparkle and chill this summer. Excellent!

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking

After gyokuro morning, starting Rou Gui afternoon, but diluting this lovely fruity version from Wuyi Origin more than perhaps is good for it, due to the hot day. Gotta prep something for sparkling tea later on. But for now, still able to enjoy this warm from Petr-yaki tree bark pot. 32E7EDC6-FCF6-45...

Re: What Green Are You Drinking

Just metaphorical sweetening by having the flowers on the tea table, no flowers added to the tea. I broke a few stems as I was photographing them this morning.

A quick second session was also very nice, with more leaf and longer infusions, the flavors were richer and still no bitterness.

Re: What Black Are You Drinking

Yatra Tea Company Temi Estate Second Flush May 2019 SFTGFOP1 tea, a long neglected sample. The dry leaf in the pouch is sweet and fruity but also smells a little dusty (this last probably because of the long wait before being opened). 17E8BF51-B102-491F-8E9F-79C292769845.jpeg I started out in my usu...
