Re: ANMO Art Cha – German tea shop review
Sijichun can be acquired in all sorts of qualities, simply comparing teas by cultivar name is pretty useless. Without side by side comparison those are just names… That said, after a certain price point, I very much doubt most people will be able to tell the difference from a good tea to a top shelf...

Re: ANMO Art Cha – German tea shop review
I just looked at their shop and the prices seem pretty high. I saw 50 g of 2021 roasted Si Ji Chun for $91 and 25 g of Ruby 18 for $86. These teas come from Exoteaque, a vendor I also have no experience with. Are these teas really that good or are the prices inflated because the shop is in the EU? ...

Re: ANMO Art Cha – German tea shop review
I am having difficulty contacting ANMO. I asked about a product long time ANMO took Summer break. Never got a reply. Then I placed an order before the Summer break. No change of the status. I asked for an update via an Email. It is being months. The somewhat disappointed about the experience. It ha...

Re: Tea pee
Usually, it takes a few weeks/months to getting used to drink a lot of tea. For me that is. But once you stop for a while it goes away again.

Re: Crack on my newly acquired handmade Zhuni teapot
It’s not a problematic crack, but on a modern new pot it is not to expected. A discount or some other similar thing would probably the fair and economic thing for all parties involved.

There are many ways to hold a pot and each pot requires some adjustment to your individual ergonomics.

Yeah that is what I heard as well, likely a few years of higher prices and lower quality.

Flooding in Wuyi
Unverified video from social media, but not looking good:
A friend noticed that it looks to organised to be from the inner area of Wuyi.
Still prices are gonna be higher and/or possibly more teas sold as something they are not.

Agree to disagree.
Those are very general recommendations and don’t work in all instances, or can be ignored, especially in terms of temperature.
For oolong for example, a rolled Taiwan oolong needs a much longer first infusion than 2nd or third steep(and at full heat water).

Re: Best EU vendors
LeoFox told me about these shops. I haven't tried myself. But someone might be able to comment. https://thetea.pl/en/ https://anmo-art-cha.com LeoFox mentioned about Mei Leaf too. They do something IOSS https://meileaf.com/about/shipping/. I am not sure about the experience in Spain though. Anmo ha...

Re: (Rant alert) – Finance my tea adventures!
So-Han from West China Tea was doing something like this recently. He sent out an email asking for donations to fund a tea documentary or something of the sort. Not long after they were hit with eminent domain and are going to have to move their tea shop somewhere else, so the film was canceled. I ...

Re: (Rant alert) – Finance my tea adventures!
If it were at least people producing content worthy of being published and not just audio-visual pollution... but then usually the ones who are good at what they are doing, can finance this sort of thing by themselves.
