A link to your eBay listing might be helpful for anyone wanting to see more detailed photos of these.

Re: A Serious Question About Bad Tea Feeling
I often feel that way from drinking young sheng on an empty stomach or consuming too much of it. Happens more frequently with factory/plantation stuff so might be related to quality of leaf and pesticides.

Re: Clay Kettles
I recently bought a typical 70-80 zini teapot w/ filter basket that I'm planning to use as a kettle. Anyone else use these as kettles? I'm wondering if any extra precautions needed. I'd hate to crack it first time I use it. I would be careful about using zisha over direct heat - most clays used for...

Re: Bad storage pu-er cakes, vendor declines a refund. Any way to rescue?
I visited a Malaysian tea shop and bought a few cakes of 2003 Yellow Mark "B" then and they were quite good. Since the price was good and the guy seemed honest I ordered a bigger batch from home 6 months later. The tea is clearly the same tea but the storage is somehow really bad. The tea smells an...

Re: Tea pot spout dripping.
For vintage pots things like drips and loose lids is common. It's nice if you find one w/o flaws but doesn't really effect my purchase much. For modern pots it's the opposite. I wouldn't buy one that had any flaws. There's no reason any of those things should exist unless it's a cheap poorly made po...

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
Dec 2005 XG green box. I remember trying one of these a number of years ago and thought it was pretty nasty stuff. Than again it was under 5yr old and totally dry stored in US. Not a very good combo. This one on the other hand was GD stored. Has a nice menthal/herbal profile but It's a pretty weak t...

Re: Yixing
As long as price wasn't in line with vendors claim than authenticity doesn't matter too much since it's functional pot. How does it brew? Looks like it isn't very porous. Price was okay. Generally I wouldn't throw much money at a pot I wasn't sure about. The clay is dense and fine. Exterior is very...

Re: Yixing
Stephen, that pot is definitely not 70s or 80s...looks 2010s to me! I believe there was no private production until the 90s and that is definitely not an F1 pot. Yes, the description didn't really seem right. That's why I posted here. I was giving the source benefit of the doubt because I've had go...

Re: Clay Kettles
Here are my clay kettles that don't leak. The two chinese red clay pots (right- ca 1930s, 750ml, center-unknown period, 600ml ) smooth out and sweetens the water nicely, although I'm still fooling around pairing with different oolong. The Japanese post-1940s Kiyomizu-ware 480ml white unglazed boffu...

Re: Yixing
I'm really not an expert, but it looks modern to me, 90's or later. I don't think I've seen a factory pot with a stamp under the handle. Anyways, if it makes a good tea, the age doesn't matter. I think a number of fang yuan pai period F1 have stamps on handles. Here's an example from EOT. https://w...

Re: Tetsubin
I bought this from Japanese antique store in SF awhile back. It's around 1L and supposedly from Meiji period though I have no idea if that's true. Its been a huge improvement over the kamjove I was using. I still consider it one of the best tea purchase I've made. https://instagram.com/p/BcYKXQZgrZT/

Re: Yixing
150ml shi piao teapot with medium thickness walls and fast pour. The clay is dense and brings out the nuances in pu er tea nicely. I was told this is di cao qing clay and made in 70s-80s. I can't verify this so I would appreciate opinions! I'm really not an expert, but it looks modern to me, 90's o...
