Re: Chaozhou/Shantou

It must be CZ season because I just got a new one too. Unfortunately this one is pretty badly damaged. I’m guessing this ones Qing era but I too find it hard to estimate age of CZ pots so it could be somewhat newer.

Re: some teapots for sale

Bok If you try to sell them for over 1000EUR ... I can try to sell as much as I want. It is my price. However, my actions are more altruistic, without any benefit to me. We are talking that your allegations make only harm, about items that I didn't sell/list here. Anyone that sells pots on this for...

Has anyone ever tried using an immersion heater? This just occured to me to be the ultimate in portability. Also looks like a good way to start a fire :lol:

Re: CNNP Tea ID help

I think Cloud mentioned on his blog that there is only one official purple sky cake which should be a 80-90’s ripe tea. This stamp has been used on a bunch of random fake teas. Is this tea from BTTC? Looks like one they used to sell. Yes, I've only read about the 80-90's 8592 with the purple sky ma...

Re: some teapots for sale

I noticed you put up a few more pots on eBay. Not sure who told you those are ROC zhuni but they look 1990’s. The azure pot has a ball filter so obviously cant be 80yrs old. I wouldn’t have bothered commenting but you listed them for $1100 and $2300.

Re: Chicago

@pedant

That’s it. I stopped by last time I was in Chicago but wasn’t feeling well so I didn’t stay for tea. Seems like a decent place to have a pot compared to the few other spots that exist. Probably not the best city for tea.

Re: Chicago

There is one place in Evanston that @Emmett recommend. Worth siting down for tea but prices for puerh cakes was high so I wouldn’t buy any there.

Re: Taiwan/Hong Kong Trip

Shine Magical My experience with food in HK was pretty much the opposite of yours. It wasn’t mind blowing in the same way as Japan but it was better than the Cantonese food I’ve had in America. No offense but I think you made a number of poor food choices there. Sushi in HK seems like a very odd de...

Re: Chaozhou/Shantou

Thanks a lot for your reply. In October this year, I visit Chaozhou. Is there a vendor who is trustworthy? As far as I know there are very few CZ collectors on this forum so it’s highly unlikely that your gonna get a recommendations for shops in China. Your best bet is to spend time online figuring...
