Re: Yixing

@DailyTX
Doesn’t look like an F1 pot to me either.

Clay sorta reminds me of a couple modern pots I’ve own.

Re: FS: Three Yixing teapots

What i was pointing to is that the pot differs from what i would expect a green label roubian to look like in almost every aspect. This makes me think it's a modern pot (90s or later). Now, i don't have any expertise in this, nor do i enjoy saying it, but i voice my concern and it's on anybody to m...

Re: Yixing

sleepypiggy These look like tuition pots. Usually the more decorative a pot is, the more likely it isn’t well made or actually zisha. Slip-cast + mystery mix of clay and additives I’d recommend both these vendors for affordable modern pots. https://essenceoftea.com/collections/yixing-teapots/produc...

Re: Cakes ID

If I was going to play the pu-lottery on any of the Alibaba Group platforms, I'd pick Taobao/Tmall over Aliexpress in a heartbeat (even more so for factory stuff!). The mentioned JD.com is another option. With agent fees and shipping much more reasonable than before I have a hard time understanding...

Re: CNNP teas and State factory teas

Oolong tea section. As expected, a lot of Sea Dyke. :D The coding pattern .m. mentioned for Sea Dyke in the past seems to be mostly the same today. DunHuang is a new brand to me, though -- does anyone know anything about it? ./download/file.php?id=7453 Nice thread! Here’s a version of this tea that...

Re: Yixing

Nice late 80’s pot @DailyTX

It reminds me of the one I sold awhile back. I’m still on the look out for the heixingtu version of this one.

Re: Yixing

A very clear modern replica. +1 Please elaborate? It is about how the bottom of the pot is made? Or the type of clay? Here’s an example of authentic 1940’s shui ping for comparison. The interior on you pot is a dead giveaway. https://www.instagram.com/p/BU9sn12BIbi/?igshid=i7az8yi2z8e1 https://www....

@enjoi

It’s a bummer when this kinda mistake happens.
Hopefully the seller is willing to give you a refund or at the very least store credit.

Re: Yixing

Speaking of bright yellow duanni. This one is from the 1970’s but not made by F1. Only $700 😂 https://chantingpines.com/collections/post-qing-antique-yixing-teapots/products/duannishuipinghu1970s :lol: It's not from the '70s... Well obviously it was made by a renegade potter at their secret studio....

Re: Show Off Your Teaware Displays

@Balthazar, @.m.

Thanks! I found this cabinet in Philly on 1stDibs for a measly $40. I’m glad I held out for a couple months instead of spending 10x on something new from Ikea.

Re: Show Off Your Teaware Displays

My latest setup for all of my tea ware. It has a decent amount of empty space for future purchases, although I don’t see myself buying anything new for awhile. I use the top surface area for recently used pot which need to dry.

Re: Yixing

Oh, and there isn't naturally blue or green clay in yixing, never existed. Those are made with added cobalt or chromium oxide. Are you saying there's no green zhuni either? :mrgreen: https://taiwanoolongs.com/collections/authentic-yixing-collectibles/products/2000s-speical-zhu-ni-chu-fang This is w...
