FS: Heini teapot/cups/tea tray/more

I'm moving and so I'm also selling some of my tea things. Only shipping within the USA. I'd prefer to sell it all to one person at a steep discount ($150), but if you want a few individual pieces please post or message me. A few photos have brown squares on them which are things I happened to sell a...

Re: Brewing Yaupon gongfu style

This reminds me of when I brewed 25 year ginseng leaf gongfu style. Since the leaves were whole, it was a very pleasant and interesting experience and tasted better than western style. Same with dried persimmon leaves, which can be very close to an oolong imo

Re: Inaugural Group Tasting: Sinensis Yokkaichi & Ippodo Tokusen Gyokuro

My favorite tasting of the Tokusen was actually 2 days after I opened the packet for the first time. The flavors really popped and were strong umami and salty. I used 10g for that session because a friend came over and I shared it. I used porcelain at that time to brew it and have been using it sinc...

I am still learning about different types of red tea. Surprisingly I like the tea the most when brewed strong and it cools d...

Re: Puzzled wannabe Yixing buyer

Based on my understanding of your post, I don't think you will get what you want. :( I don't think you will be able to get a high quality yixing pot as a Westerner from an online store, and especially so if it is your first yixing teapot purchase. I also don't think most people use the first yixing ...
