Please elaborate? It is about how the bottom of the pot is made? Or the type of clay?

Re: Yixing
Does it say mengchen mark? Or not? Bac It's definitely not Meng Chen.... do you have a photo of the entire pot? It says [Yixing Jiang An-Qing made 宜兴江案卿制] at the bottom of the pot and [An-Qing 案卿] under the lid. Cheers! Thanks alot! I was able to find some info, albeit in chinese : http://www.12129...

Re: Yixing
Does it say mengchen mark? Or not? One reason you are having difficulty getting an answer is that seal script is hard. The way characters are written on seals is not the usual writing. To make things worse, there are multiple possible ways to write the same character in seal script. So even native ...

Re: Yixing
It does indeed brew western style a very nice cup of shou pu. Incredibly muting. Im still puzzled by the horizontal mengchen mark, it was using during the 90'? Horizontal? The pic you posted is rotated 90 degrees... and it doesn’t say Mengchen either. No idea about 90s chops. IMG_20201228_100304.jp...

Re: Yixing
Any idea on this strange mengchen mark? Pot is huge, half a liter probably. Based on clay, workmanship, and seals, this teapot looks modern (post 1990s, probably also post 2000s). The seal is blurry so it's hard to see, but it does not look like it says "meng chen" to me. I hope this helps. Happy N...

Some baimu dan from 2018 wich was a gift from a friend who made a trip in china, usually brew it gong fu cha at 90-95 degree in a porcelain vessel but also tried it grandpa style, in a zisha mug, still very good! Fruity and honeysh yet with a slight woodsy dark tone, quite intense. ./download/file....

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
Some shou pu-er gifted from friends wich went to china some time ago. Quite smooth, slightly earthy, somewhat sweet and floral. Did not expect it to be soo smooth. If anything it is not too complex, so i guess its not too aged. ./download/file.php?id=6633 I cannot read the language and would be gra...

Re: Water Water Everywhere... What’s Your Water?
I have the luck to easily find S.Bernardo, a water source from the alps, it is pretty good with any kind of tea! If i can't find that, then i buy S. Anna, wich is quite similar, tho slightly lighter in minerals. Bac Are you in Italy somewhere? Other members that have mentioned San Bernardo water ar...

Some Long jing in a gaiwan, 75-80 degrees and short steeps, very much soy beans and umami. Always very comforting in the morning! Also this other unknown green tea, wich is even mellower than white tea, i tried to brew it at 75-80 degree in a gaiwan without many good results, seems to do slightly b...

Chadrinkincat Actually got it from another auction house, origin was netherlands. Youzi Yes, seller claimed it to be from RoC era, some "Expert" on the matter had evaluated it beforehand, but pictures were not exhaustive, and barely shown the inside of the pots. All in all i don't even know if it i...
