Re: Site Feedback & Discussion

I'm not seeking to create a general FAQ for all tea drinkers....I just want to bookmark individual posts. But since that is apparently not a feature of our software, I'm creating a draft message to myself that I can use for reference. It's not as handy as bookmarks by post, but it will work well eno...

Re: Site Feedback & Discussion

Can I bookmark a post? I've written some longer answers to frequently asked questions that I'd like to easily reference for linking and quoting in future replies, and I'd like to track others' posts that inspire me to try something new, so can review their reports when trying that new tea, etc. We c...

Re: Your day in tea

I am new here and have something to ask, if I want to make a good cup of tea, is the amount of water different? For example, green tea, breakfast tea and oolong tea, is the amount of water when brewing different? Thanks! Welcome! You will get many different answers if you ask many different tea dri...

Re: What Green Are You Drinking

Yes. A tiny bit of very dark chocolate often helps the day feel friendlier. And it goes very well with sencha and even better with gyokuro.

Re: flowers of the tea plant

Yes, I bought some out of curiosity once, and it made tea that was unexciting. I also bought a Puer once that featured some blossoms carefully arranged/embedded on the outside of the cake. IIRC, the floral image was the best thing about it. I might have put a large portion of it into the worm bin….....

Re: Introduce Yourself

we also included a special gyokuro of yours for our Inaugural Tasting at TeaForum. It was so good! Thank you 🍃 It WAS so good. I hoarded a second package of that tea until just a month or two ago, and it was still so good. Thank you for the great tea....and looking forward to learning and sharing m...

Re: Tenmoku & Jian Bowls

Just received it and didn’t expect the glaze to feel rough to the touch! Is this normal guys? Worried about any chemicals or iron content not being the best thing to consume!!! I was expecting an almost glass like feel. They are not silky smooth, but the roughness is very minor, and never feels sha...

Re: Your day in tea

Your comment, "no one thing absolutely dominant", reminds me why I don't drink gaoshan much anymore. It's a fine tea but the dominant floral aspect makes it a bit dull to drink every day. I think this is why there is a general trend among oolong fans to start green and go towards darker ones. I spe...

Re: Your day in tea

debunix & tjkdubya how do the two of you normally prepare this tea? I feel like I hit it but if there are some Korean parameters used for these teas then I would like to know what they are. I can only describe random Los Angeles parameters for prepping this tea: water just off the boil, and....ever...

Re: Your day in tea

I usually post about Balhyocha in the Oolong topic, because it so resembles a fruitier, deeply oxidized oolong like Red Alishan or Oriental Beauty. I agree the body is often less thick than a Taiwanese oolong, but i find them remarkable teas. I am loving working my way through a good-sized bag with ...
