Re: Yixing

Bok and Chadrinkincat What’s the % discount for a pot with mismatch lid if I am buying it from a reputable antique shop? They won't sell this kind of pots. Asian collectors will never buy it. Bok I see. I guess I am on the same boat with Chadrinkincat , I can accept chips and maybe hairline, but no...

Re: Yixing

Mark-S apart from the miss match lid, this pot is clearly old and genuine. Looks hand built. Sticker as well looks authentic handwritten. It looks red, so it’s either what collectors call Zisha, or Zhuni. Guessing from the shape and size, I think it used to be a Biandeng shape of some kind. 600 wou...

Three more pictures of the eBay pot if someone is interested. ./download/file.php?id=5291 ./download/file.php?id=5290 ./download/file.php?id=5289 My favorite part is the sticker label with No.10 written on the bottom of the pot--very nice vintage feel  pantry Maybe a famous stamp is hidden und...

Now that OCTO pointed out. If you look at the 3rd photo with the lid uncovered. The inner lid looks ...

Re: Yixing

steanze Bok Thanks, I had not seen this before. - Good chance that this will be my new favorite pot. Shape, clay, workmanship... everything's nice on it, and it even got a ball filter. 8-) The teapot is pretty heavy for the rather small size. ./download/file.php?id=5241 Mark-S That pot looks huge, ...

Re: Yixing

Balthazar This shape looks like a F1 design. I remember a while ago, I posted a pair of flat pots, and one of the members posted one that looked like yours. Edit: founded on page 37 Chadrinkcat linked a photo there First of all: I can't believe this thread has grown by 100 pages in a couple of mont...

Re: Yixing

Balthazar Nice. I've forget all about that article. But i have been using my little flat F1 hongni pot with young green puerh lately and liking the results. :D I'm using F1 hongni for young sheng myself, although it's not a flat profile. Here's some pictures that better captures the profile of my m...

Re: Yixing

I posted my F1 dragon style teapot in the Facebook group about 13 hours ago. It already got 49 likes and 6 positive comments. It seems that they think it's genuine. The photos are still not perfect, but the new $140 macro lens (Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 30mm 3.5 Macro) helped a lot. I chose a whit...

Re: Yixing

60s 12 cup hongni is on my list. I haven’t encountered a source to get the 12 cups yet but yeah it will cost a leg :( Are you prepared to spend in the neighborhood of $1-2k? Because that's the price range... for that price, I'd prefer the Zhuni from above any day! That is where Yixing market someti...

Re: Yixing

Would this one be considered overly good or better ones? :) That's a very good pot. The clay is nice, it brews tea well, and it can still be found for quite reasonable prices. It is not one of the rarer/better F1s such as the ting ji marked pots, the 60s bsln, the 60s jiazini gezui, the 60s hongni ...

Re: Yixing

I am curious as well :) I want to get an idea on how much to save for haha Zhuni from that period in good condition will be minimum 2000-4000$ I heard ZAG selling less in demand Zini Biandeng in 40ml for 2000, so... DailyTX it was 2000USD plus shipping. It has chips around the lid skirt which is wh...
