Re: What Green Are You Drinking
i've enjoyed multiple tease from them over more than a few years now, and they are my go to for Japanese greens when I have a craving for something that is not part of my Obubu Tea Farm subscription. I particularly like that they have some Tseun teas That are otherwise very hard to get, because Tse...

Re: Get in here y’all, everything must go!
I bought a pot and cup and Darbotek packed them very securely and shipped them quickly. The Yinchen Duanni pot arrived in immaculate condition and goes very well with my white teas.

Re: Ode to the Kyusu
It seems there's a lot of information on buying Yixing wares for beginners, and not much on Kyusu. Anyone who has been collecting, using, and selling Kyusu would like to chime in on what you are looking for in a kyusu aside from a certain artisan and aesthetic of the piece? :) I think the following...

Re: Your day in tea
I actually use a gaiwan type grip when the water is hot so I haven’t tested the buttons. I never had the pleasure of meeting Tead Off in person but think of him fondly when I’m in Bangkok with my son and we take out pizza from the place he recommended.

Re: Your day in tea
It’s still spring here in NJ, USA, and I’m enjoying my favorite new harvest Chinese greens. I try to open only one bag at a time because I believe that they’re best if drunk soon after opening. Today I’m enjoying TPHK (tai ping houkui from Seven Cups). I have this pot that I bought back when Tead Of...

Re: 2023 Chinese green tea thread
I like to order from Seven Cups. I get some longjing, an ji bai cha (early & late) and Tai ping hou kui. I usually try at least one tea that’s new to me. Seven Cups generally offers the teas at a 20% discount the first weekend they’re up for sale. Thank you! I've considered ordering from Seven Cups...

There should be a description and a photo of each filter for each category of pot on the Hojo site.

Re: The Porcelain Thread
You get to spend more time there than I do. During my second visit I went to Baan Celadon. The work was more elegant, and more expensive, but the pots were still much too large for me. What tea would you brew in a pot as thick as the cup?

Re: The Porcelain Thread
My Inge Nielsen pot arrived today. Naturally I had to try it out immediately. The only Chinese green I have right now is a small bag of Lu’an Gia Pian, which I’m not familiar with. I’ll need to experiment with different times/temperatures but I know from my first session that the pot is a pleasure t...

Re: The Porcelain Thread
I’ve been feeling the need for a small porcelain pot to supplement the larger ones I bought from Seong-Il years ago. This thread, and a discount coupon from Etsy, inspired me to buy an Inge Nielsen porcelain pot. It’s only 80 ml, and I’m a big fan of a crackled celadon glaze. FED057E8-7361-4396-9B5C...

Re: Korean Teaware Showcase
Spring is officially here for me despite the 90°+ heat as I received my first delivery of 2022 Chinese greens yesterday. I have this odd pot made by Seong-il that I purchased years ago from Tead Off on the old Tea Chat forum. I call it “odd”. because it was labeled a gaiwan. It’s perfect for brewing...

Re: WTB: Yamada So Blue Kyusu
You could try writing to Toru at Artistic Nippon and let him know what you’re looking for. I use my Yamada Sou blue hobin just about every day and couldn’t resist buying a matching cup. Such a cheerful way to start the day. I happened to be looking at a few new pieces on AN and seriously considered ...

Re: Doped Teas - An Open Secret?
The first tea I ever purchased was a jasmine tea from Harney and Sons and the second was jasmine pearls from Chinatown in NYC and after that different grades of jasmine pearls from Adagio. I’m guessing that a few years passed before I became acquainted with properly scented jasmine teas. Even though...

Re: I need help with an odd problem
I’m using a small towel now but I want something that doesn’t detract from the appearance of my tea ware. The rush trivet is an attractive and traditional solution but it’s difficult to figure out the appropriate size since I’d need to know the the height as well as the diameter. I can make a washab...
