Re: 2019 Vendor List

I was reading a book that was talking about the DSM-5 so for some reason it came to mind when writing that. I don't think very many would either.

Re: 2019 Vendor List

I haven't posted for awhile but I just read some of the responses. Essentially, the Vendor List is an ongoing list. There shouldn't be any omissions and if there is it is by mistake and someone could update the thread to reflect the current list. Vendors from 2015 might not be around in 2020 that is...

Re: 2019 Vendor List

The point of the list though is to have input from those who are on here which assumes they are reputable vendors. I am not asking for an exhaustive list of every single tea vendor. I am asking for a list of vendors all in one location that people get their tea. For example, (perhaps I should have m...

Re: 2019 Vendor List

It's not even ranking vendors though. Just having all vendors on one page. So it is easier to access. I don't mind scrolling through the forum under Black Tea, White, etc. but it would just be more user friendly to have it all on one page.

Thanks,

2019 Vendor List

I was thinking it would be nice to have something like this https://www.home-barista.com/home-roasting/green-coffee-sources-list-2019-t56178.html except on the tea forum. With maybe a heading such as: White Teas: www.blahblah www. Black Teas: www. Oolong: www. I think it would help newbies out like ...

Re: starting from scratch with a $450 tea budget?

Victoria, Solid advice! I plan on meeting him ASAP. My plan is to buy tea and see what initial flavors I like and go from there I just want something to reference when I finally figure out what I want. My stuff arrives tomorrow. I have some green tea and white tea. I think I will take pedant's recom...

Re: starting from scratch with a $450 tea budget?

I stumbled across this: https://www.sazentea.com/en/products/p525-shoryu-tenmoku-kintsumami-kyusu.html I really like it. I know someone mentioned around 100mL...Is 250mL too much? I know the littlest thing effects coffee I assume it is the same with tea. There is another one on from tokonamejp on Eb...

Re: starting from scratch with a $450 tea budget?

This might help everyone because the person is me. I posted a few days ago about being brand new and knowing nothing and wanting to get into tea. The 450$ tea budget is really just some Christmas money so it isn't necessarily my budget for the year but just some extra money I have to put to tea if I...

Re: Brand New Need Advice

Would these be better suited? https://www.mudandleaves.com/store/p398/72ml_Tianbaiyou_Jingdezhen_Porcelain_Chicken_Egg_Cup.html 72ml with the 100ml gaiwan...I was looking at the larger one. I am not sure how hot it would be but I assumed having the plate to hold would help but I am not sure. It woul...

Re: Brand New Need Advice

My apologies. It is .4grams of potassium bicarbonate not .04 grams. is this gaiwan enough for 2 people? I was thinking of getting this https://www.mudandleaves.com/store/p381/100ml_Little_Horseshoe_Tianbai_Jingdezhen_Porcelain_Gaiwan_.html and then these two cups https://www.mudandleaves.com/store/p...

Re: Brand New Need Advice

For coffee I use distilled water with .04grams of Potassium Bicarbonate. It was a recipe from a Chemist over at a coffee forum. I am not sure this is appropriate for tea. My wife and I got a Berkey Water filter for Christmas. Would this be suitable? Or even the Distilled with Potassium Bicarb? Thank...

Re: Brand New Need Advice

Very nice! I found a used Strietman CT1 somehow which was a steal. I actually got it from Wouter's brother. I also have a HG-1 and then recently bought a motor as I have been hand grinding for 2 years and I just wanted something new. I have been thinking of the OE Apex for brew as I have been enjoyi...
