Started with a gaiwan, moved into a crazy amount of teapots over the years just to end up reselling them and going back to a simple gaiwan again. There’s just something special about their simplicity that I enjoy and the fact it’s all about the leaf and not what the pot is doing to it is nice too.

My favorite YouTube tea related channels are Crimson Lotus Tea, Yunnan Sourcing and TeaDB. I enjoy Global Tea Hut’s channel as well.

2014 Huang Pian “MEGA Brick” Shou Puerh Tea from Crimson Lotus Tea. Heavy soup in terms of density and mouthfeel, rich notes of premium coffee and earth. Some nice huigan in later steeps. Very relaxing session.

I’ve always had good experience with their teas. Great quality oolongs and great variety. Always something new appearing on site too meaning they are in constant contact with the farmers as new harvests are ready.

I’ve never been disappointed by the offerings from ChaWang Shop, Crimson Lotus Tea or BitterLeaf Teas either. Great variety of sheng and shou puerh from all of these vendors.
