Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
Having my last session with a 2007 V93 250g tuo. I drink a fair amount of small grade shou but this was the first V93 I've had. Overall it had good shou taste and intensity of character. The texture is a bit thinner than I like, but that's okay. It gives good, even energy without too many spikes or ...

Repeat session with W2T 2017 She's Not Me this morning. Still tastes super young not surprisingly! Lots of green pepper, heating sensation on the walls of the mouth and throat. Is starting to mellow though, the bite is starting to become pleasant. Alright, back into storage until this time next year!

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
Hai Lang Hao "Jin Hai Lang" shou puerh, 2006 today, from YS. For my work setup this week I don't have access to a place to pour waste, so I've been drinking the rinse. This tea unfortunately has a sour note in the first 2-3 steeps that is unpleasant but goes away. What it leaves behind is a beautifu...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
I have two of Chen's mail order teas from last year's roasting today, my last session with both of these two! So sad! I have a Lishan Primitive Wild Forest in an unroasted (or lightly roasted) and a charcoal roast format. Probably 8ish g of each in ~120cc? Both are still very good, still very butter...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
Ha, that's a lot of leaf. Interesting, a roasted oolong from Nepal, I guess its labeled as an oolong because of the processing method. What is the level of oxidation? Yes I just dropped in 1 pearl because it was convenient. I would say it is moderately oxidized, and not deeply roasted at all either...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
I am drinking a "wild orchid pearl" oolong from Nepali Teas. 10g pearl in 120cc, boiling water. Steeped for about 30s then let it sit and steam for 5 minutes to unroll a bit, and broke it up with my hands the rest of the way. Followed by 10s, 20s, 30s, etc... to chase flavor. Was bland in the early ...

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hi I am Mitten5. I am from the tea reddit and the #tea chat. I rate rarely on Steepster and posted infrequently on the old teachat boards. How long have you been drinking tea? About fifteen years. I was looking for a substitute for coffee during college because it made me feel uneasy. I found that I...
