Alas! Too many people are selling fake tea these days, and even true tea farmers will be suspected.
Sorry about that, no harm intended! As you say, too much fakes around...

Re: Bao Zhong

If you have some gaoshan, try steeping it quickly. For me, the brew from quick steeping such tea gives much of the experience of baozhong. For what I have, Perfect, seems the most like baozhong. That is an excellent suggestion! Not for me, as I prefer the opposite  It comes from a height o...

Wow, an endorsement from a just signed up user with English that points to a non-native speaker...

No one was saying anything about the tea being real or not, but now it certainly looks suspicious.

Re: What Green Are You Drinking

This morning had some Taiwanese Qing Xin early spring green tea. Smell was out of this world, I got a lot of those baozhong aromatics. The taste was kind of a generic green tea flavor though. Green bean and spinach notes, but very thin and lacking depth. Unfortunately, that's the story with all Tai...

Re: Research Corner: Interesting Journal Articles

Victoria Thanks! Interesting. I wonder what it would taste like as a highly oxidised, medium roast. Most of what is sold as Wild(often just not tended to) Tea in Taiwan (real or not) is either processed as fully oxidised Hongcha or Baozhong-like almost green. I found the Hongcha versions more inter...

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking

On FB theses days are so many "farmers" that I can't believe how fast they learned English if can't even learn Mandarin ( Yunnan farmers have their own ethic minority language and many of them can't speak Chinese properly ) . It is funny, even more so as they would need to have a VPN to even access...
