Re: Introduce Yourself

Hey everyone, it's been a while! The past year or so has been unpredictable and has come with a lot of changes, so I have been quite busy. That being said, I've found myself starting to browse the forum here more and more recently, and I basically want to say hello and that I will be popping in and ...

Ah, really enjoy reading your tasting notes Frisbeehead. Super detailed, nice photos as well. Thank you. The Hokujo shiboridashi you are using for steeping is brilliant. Its proportion and form are the most perfect I’ve seem for steeping and admiring gyokuro needles as they are expanding. I’m wonde...

Re: Inaugural Group Tasting: Sinensis Yokkaichi & Ippodo Tokusen Gyokuro

Received my package yesterday, wow that shipping was fast! First, I would like to express my thanks to Victoria for setting up this group buy, and hooking us up with tea I certainly would not have been able to acquire otherwise. So, thanks for that Victoria! And thank you for the cute note that you ...

2007 Yang Qing Hao Lingya in my chipped F2 zini shuiping This session is turning out much better than my last. That's not to say my last session was bad, as I don't think I've had a bad session with this tea. However for some reason, whether it's because of my body chemistry right now, or because I'...

Re: Emei Mountain, Sichuan Province, China - photo album

Gorgeous place, and lovely photos of the trees struggling along the mountain ridges, and the magnificent setting for the sculptures, and impressive dedication it gets to view them. And: Sichuan: how was the food? And the tea? Enough peppers to keep you warm in all that snow? How was the food? Oh bo...

Emei Mountain, Sichuan Province, China - photo album

Finally finished uploading a some ~300 picture album to imgur of my trip to Emei Mountain in Sichuan, when I was studying in China. It was a surreal and beautiful place, and for the first time during my whole time in China, there were almost no other people - just me and my classmates. We went in Ma...
