Re: Darjeeling First Flush 2020
I purchased Millikthong first flush Darjeeling 2020 from Dobra Tea in Burlington VT. It's a classic first flush tea: very light and layered with different flavors. It's one of the best I've had in a few years. If you order some on line, save a little for me and Victoria.

Re: Inaugural Group Tasting: Sinensis Yokkaichi & Ippodo Tokusen Gyokuro

I used Poland Spring water and brewed it like this: 1st brew: 10g/2oz-60ml/108F/2min Rich, plenty of umami, a kaleidoscope of flavors jumping from one to the next, best enjoyed in a quiet room w...

Re: What Green Are You Drinking
Finished my sample of a mystery roasted sencha that was a gift. Absolutely love it so am on a mission to find more. I'm lucky to live in an international city; the Japanese producer who provided it (Kagoshima Seicha Co.) just happens to be in town, so he's coming over for tea tomorrow. He said it's...

Re: What Green Are You Drinking
I usually get a sencha called Miyakonojo from Thes du japon, but they are sold out. It was recommended by Tead Off on another site, and I love this tea. Can anyone recommend a substitute? Thanks. Was this the one, Oku-midori cultivar? Looking for flavor profile to gauge. You might write vendor to s...

Re: What Black Are You Drinking
It's a 2018 first flush. I had a 2017 recently that had no flavor, so I decided to wait for the 2018 ones. I don't know whether vacuum packing preserves the freshness of older first flush teas.
