Re: Top electric kettle

... So I decided to try a different item, and found this one that hasn’t been mentioned here yet: Gourmia GPK720 Electric Kettle: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076T5MV1V It looks nearly identical to the Bonavita, a gooseneck pot with separate corded base, and in fact the Bonavita pot works on ...

Re: New Tea Blog: The Mellified Cup

I love the photos in your reviews. That 200X Wuliang looks tasty! What year is? I didn't see it mentioned in the review.

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking

Today I'm trying 'The Shu Fits' by Mandala Tea for the first time. My experience with puerhs, and tea in general, is still limited but I think this is a good one. Strong notes of dark chocolate, with hints of leather, tobacco, and raisins are detected. Starting with the third steeping, there's a bit...

Re: mandala tea?

I'm personally a big fan, especially of their custom puerh pressings. They closed their webshop and only just recently reopened it so there's a lot less talk about them than there might have been a few years ago. Autumn Song, Temple Stairs, and WIld Monk are all teas that I've tried and enjoyed. Yo...

Re: Yunnan Sourcing website: .com vs .us

Thanks for the replies, folks! After I posted here I stumbled upon the Yunnan Sourcing Fans Facebook group amd also asked there. Scott Wilson replied with this video answer which I’m sharing here in case others are curios about the two web sites:

Yunnan Sourcing website: .com vs .us

After reading great stuff about Yunnan Sourcing I made my first purchase from yunnansourcing.com last week. I realized at the time the package would be coming from China so no worries there. Afterward, I somehow learned there is a US based version of the site, yunnansourcing.us, that appears to ship...

Re: How much tea do you consume per day?

I typically have two teas per day, plus overnight steep from the day before. Roasted oolong in the morning while I work 12gr, or sencha 6-8gr. Later in the day, if I find time to focus, I steep higher quality teas in smaller gong fu portions; for oolongs 6gr, gyokuro or sencha 5-10gr depending on s...

How Much Tea Do You Consume Per Day?

I'm new to tea but over the past several weeks I've gotten into a routine of enjoying three tea sessions on most days. I'm brewing in a gawain and steeping many times each session. I tend to use 5 to 6 grams of tea per session so I'm going through about 15-18 grams of tea each day. How much tea do y...

Re: Getting Organized

I'm new to tea and have so far only been ordering samples and small quantities (1-2 oz) of the teas I find that I like. I'm currently just using a gallon sized zip-lock bag for storage. As my tea collection grows I know I'll need a better solution so I'm hoping to see more good ideas in this thread ...

Re: mandala tea?

I've ordered from Mandala twice and have enjoyed the teas and service. I messaged them on Facebook recently to ask a question and Garrett was quick to answer and very friendly. I'm actually drinking some of their Black Gold black tea right now. :)

Re: Introduce Yourself

Hi everyone! I found this forum by accident and figured I'd see what's going on here. How long have you been drinking tea? I've been a coffee enthusiast all my adult life. I experimented with loose tea a few times over the years but never managed to get further than placing random orders from a popu...
