Re: Should I Buy This Pot?

This ones shape is nicer than the other. Clay should be same/similar on both. Better clay on this one so I'd prob get this instead. It has a wonky knob though. http://2088taiwan.com//index.php?route=product/product&path=71_74&product_id=93 Yea that's what I was thinking. If I purchase a pot, I need...

EOT has a number of pots in those sizes. Clay is also pretty decent on all of them.
I was also looking at this one:

Yes, it works. It is a good choice in terms of shape and clay. The size (120ml) is good too, although the rare times I drink shu I tend to use pots that are a bit larger.
Thanks. Yes I'd like a 160-180 ml if I could find a decent one. Seems that decent clay is hard to find ;)

Re: Is this a 70s pot?

If you look closely at the spout, it seems like there is a glob of white on the inside. To me that would indicate that someone wiped something on the pot to make it look old.

I think those prices are in TWD. Compare them with EUR or GBP prices ;)
Ah! That's weird, I thought there was a U.S. Flag in the top left corner, and I assumed that indicated the currency.

EDIT. I see now that the U.S. flag indicates the language.

If there is no smell, should there still be a concern?

Any decent sources for pots? I know of EoT... I've searched online and I'm not finding a lot.

Re: Help With My Teapot

Unfortunately this looks like a fake. I suggest to use a gaiwan instead, and switch to a pot once you find a good quality yixing. All I can assume by this comment is that it isn't useable. Steanz, thank you for sharing your time on this topic. Forgive me for not knowing who you are and how knowledg...
