WTS: Wu De Tea Art Scroll
I'm out of room for art on my walls so this piece has to go. I don't know exactly when I purchased it but it was pre-Global Tea Hut. It has been hanging in my smoke-free home. There is some wrinkling from age but otherwise, it is in fairly good condition. The scroll is roughly 47 x 148cm. Price: $20...

Re: Shincha 2021. What's in your cart?
Does anyone have any leads on vendors selling temomi shincha? I know it's a crapshoot, especially with the way 2020 and this year have been. I just got a gorgeous new kyusu and it deserves some really nice tea.

Re: talkin' tie guan yin
Modern TGY is quite different from what the tea used to be like. Before the Taiwanese processing style was used, the leaves actually looked more like dancong. This is one that I tasted and really enjoyed: https://www.zhentea.ca/chinese-tea/tie- ... n-classic/

Re: Spotting tea sub-cultures through the slang they use?
I recently discovered a quirk about the terms "daily drinkers" and "tea empties" -- These both mean the same thing, the teas one has been drinking the most lately, but are not normally used interchangeably. I don't think they are the same at all. Daily drinkers are, as the name implies, teas you dr...

The vendor is called Wuyi Origin. They sell both Dancong and Wuyi teas made by their families.StoneLadle wrote: ↑Sun Sep 06, 2020 5:44 amDancong isn't from Wu Yi. In fact it's pretty far away from Wu Yi.

From what I can tell, Norwood got the story from the folks at Chado in L.A. where she was a customer.

Re: What are your favorite tea/teaware blogs?
* https://www.teaformeplease.com/ Probably also counts as a vendor blog? Modern blog, but old-fashioned in that it does not focus on Chinese tea exclusively but is aware of it, and seems to have a foot in the door of a lot of different internet tea-worlds. Tea for Me Please here! I'm not a vendor, ...

Re: Shincha 2020, "the Year of COVID-19"
I've preordered some things from Yunomi but they may not be ready to ship until June. Placed my first order with Kettl to hold me over and they got to me within a few days since they are shipping from NYC. I am looking forward to digging into their Mebuki and Hachiju Hachiya Shincha (plus some match...

Re: Husband Tea Torture - YouTube Series
Encouraging to watch a healthy, happy, marriage. If I was ever in a relationship with someone like Jason who would participate patiently doing something that she did not care about, I don't remember when. Thanks for sharing. Thank you! We joke about it a lot but he really is incredibly tolerant and...

Husband Tea Torture - YouTube Series
I recently launched a new series on my YouTube channel where I taste tea with my husband who doesn't really like tea. We're only 2 episodes in but it has been a lot of fun so far. Gyokuro and Shou Puerh were hard nos.

Excellent @Brent D! I think puerh is more intimidating so there's a lot less people who would feel comfortable leading a workshop on it. Maybe an idea for next year if this goes well

I'll be teaching a workshop on Dancong oolongs. So excited (and nervous, lol)!
