Re: An Ode to Czech Potters
Basically the same I can say about Ukraine. About tea shops -- I think they all just buy from Taobao or sth because lots of similar stuff is sold everywhere. Usually the price is 30-50% higher than ordering same stuff from China. And prices, well, no one is going to buy quality tea here because ave...

Re: An Ode to Czech Potters
Well in Czech we have long history of the pottery it self. I use to work for company making the kilns for firing as an electrician so I had an opportunity to visit many of the masters when repairing their kiln. That time not much teaware around was made, so I believe this had emerged just recently ...

Re: Ideal temperature for drinking; ideal amount....
I have also checked with a thermometer the temperature of the water after it was boiled in an electric kettle -- it showed 92 degrees. Is that even correct? Should I rather boil water in kettle on a gas stove? There is no should or should not. As long as your kettle doesn't contain anything that im...

Re: Introduce Yourself
I do not yet know. I have been an adept of a shaving forum for quite a long time and I have made some interesting observations. People might not understand here, but I have been shaving with 2 different blades, same razor and same brush for a year. This would be like driking the same tea for a year...

Re: Ideal temperature for drinking; ideal amount....
Ah, forgot to add very important thing as well -- I have licked hot iron when I was 2 and for the rest of my life I have a very sensitive tounge on its front part. I can't even taste wheter tea/food is cold or not because even if I burn it for the smallest second, my tounge would be on fire for the...

Re: Tea preferences for super taster/ normal taster / hypo taster
Based on the chart above, which one are you? (Be honest) Hypo according to a chart with everything but the last -- seeks strong flavors. Which kind of teas do you gravitate towards? Sheng pu erh > oolong and green teas Which kind of teas are a no no? Old shu and black teas. Are generally open to exp...

Tea delivery in winter
What do you think about delivering tea in winter?, when tea might be travelling for weeks with the temperatures outside below freezing. Will it damage the tea? What I think is that tea leaves have water inside, it gets crystalized -> water would cut trough the cells like a knife. About the results I...

Re: Ideal temperature for drinking; ideal amount....
Well, I have quite opposite thoughts on this one. Ideal temperature -- maybe 50 degrees. Higher tea temperatures block my nose completely/partially and I lose some smell and taste feeling. Ideal amount -- 1.8g-2g of sheng pu erh tea for 130ml gaiwan. I do not know how people drink 6g, when tea hits ...
