IME this works well for some stuff, particularly serving several guests, but you will run into a problem if you want to prepare 100ml-200ml for yourself, esp. tea that requires high temps. It ended up being garage. It dribbles everywhere, from the spout and the lid.
Seems its just a bad design. Its cute though and looks good in the cabinet.
