Re: Camellia Sinensis
I've had some time to form and opinion of the tea I ordered. These puer cakes are fantastic for the money. I tend to like the taste of young sheng more than aged, so the 2023 cake was the favorite. The 2022 has already transformed quite a bit. It's flavors are turning deep and earthy much quicker th...

Re: (Rant alert) – Finance my tea adventures!
I'd certainly visit their shop if I was ever in that area. I've never bought tea from them online because their prices are crazy high.

Re: (Rant alert) – Finance my tea adventures!
His tea education videos on YouTube were always pretty good. I was actually disappointed when they had to cancel it.

Re: (Rant alert) – Finance my tea adventures!
So-Han from West China Tea was doing something like this recently. He sent out an email asking for donations to fund a tea documentary or something of the sort. Not long after they were hit with eminent domain and are going to have to move their tea shop somewhere else, so the film was canceled. I t...

Camellia Sinensis
Best I can tell there isn't a vendor discussion thread for Camellia Sinensis, the Canadian tea vendor. For those who aren't familiar the domain is camellia-sinensis.com. I don't see them pop up in discussion here, but I've heard a few individual reports on reddit with positive experiences. I also ha...

Re: Green Tea Vendor Topic
Obviously Florent is the owners white slave. Poor thing probably gets beat with a stick if he doesn’t price gouge his own people. This must be why he can’t tell us what the real reason was.

Re: Green Tea Vendor Topic
At the end of the day, I don't see this as a situation where they should "congratulate themselves" because I see this as sowing the seeds of distrust in their community. That's going to have a much bigger impact than you might think. If you are correct, then they will do something about it alright....

Re: Green Tea Vendor Topic
In any case, they can congratulate themselves, as buyers still want to stick with them despite the extreme price raise. In other shops cases , I believe, the people would just go like "pfff....lets buy from someone else then " . But here it almost looks like " let's write them an open letter " ...I...

Re: Green Tea Vendor Topic
I'm failing to understand why I'm not allowed to get the yen price if I bear the cost of the conversion from USD to JPY. If I'm paying in their native currency, then I don't see the functional difference between me or someone in Japan paying for the same thing. I'm still paying for the shipping as w...

Re: Taiwan Tea Crafts?
All my notes were based on my first session with the tea. I've even came back to some and had better or worse experiences later on. Every day with tea is never the same, even when it's the same tea. I'm confident that TTC has good quality tea though. That much was easy to see.

Re: Taiwan Tea Crafts?
Today I was revisiting the Gui Fei oolong. It feel obligated to report that my experience with this tea now is very different from my previous experience with it. I'd rank this among some of my favorite sessions with tea. Not sure what initially contributed to my poor experience, but all I can say i...

Re: Tea tourism in Yunnan
I'm having lately discussion with my friend from Menghai about possibilities for foreign tea tourism. From the posts here , and anywhere else , I can see that Yunnan is not that popular ( or just people are not sharing unless T-biz posting on their blog as part of the marketing ....like me ;-D ) . ...

Re: Lost taste due to Covid
Hello tea friends. Recently I’ve had the worst thing imaginable happen to me. I’ve completely lost my sense of taste and smell after having Covid. I’m not sure how long this might last because I’ve heard many different experiences. Some people get their taste back in weeks, and some never seem to c...
