Re: Yixing

Also, wanted to add this lecture by KyaraZen. You all may have found this already, but I just stumbled on it. Hope he continues to share lectures like this. This is the only one I found.

I have no idea about it's worth. Are they expensive?
I've got 3 of those tea tasting sets from green label period. I don't know how much they are worth in the West. Maybe $150.
I’d love to buy one of those green label cha bei sets. Any sources? Haven’t seen any on auction. 🙏

Re: Yixing

For reference, this is the ZAG 60s pot that has some, but not a lot of mica in the base.

Re: Yixing

zeeg just noticed: most 90s Hongni I come across is actually more orange than red, earlier looks redder. Ahh yes. I should have specified, modern non-F1 hongni. I have a white label and laser label pot that are indeed more orange. Thanks again for the education. The clay (aside from iron and mica i...

Re: Yixing

Yes, these do appear to be mica and iron spots. I have a couple 60s F1 pots from ZAG and one 60s pot does have some mica in the base, but this seems to have more. Out of curiosity, if the right pot is fake, any guesses when it was produced? I rarely see mica or iron in any of my more modern hongni ...

Re: Yixing

Also, I should say that the mica spots really "pop" with a flashlight or flash. The latter pictures have a flash. With the naked eye, they aren't as apparent.

Re: Yixing

Hello everyone, Glad to find a community of folks interested in yixing. I've posted these XianPiao pots on discord before, but it seems there is more interest in F1 around here. Both were bought on auction and share features of 70s F1. However, they are somewhat different which makes me suspicious t...
