Yuuki-Cha

Yuuki-Cha is based in Japan, so they provide some of the freshest green tea you can buy. O-cha is another vendor based in Japan, but seems pricier sometimes. Anyway, I have been going to Yuuki-Cha for years. I enjoy there teas all year around, but during Shincha season, I really love it. This vendor...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking

Currently drinking a very nice Winter 2021 "Sweet Scent" Dong Ding, Chen Kuan Lin from Tillerman. This tea has a mild but very nice sweet flavor that usually lasts 2 to 3 cups. It has a very nice, mild sweet scent after brewing. The whole experience of drinking this tea is enjoyable. I never have to...

Re: Red Oolong tea

Red Alishan - no. But Taiwan Tea Crafts has some good Red Oolongs in general. Thanks for the recommendation. I found this there- "Lishan High Mountain Organic Red Oolong Tea". Um, yes please! Lol. miig I ended up buying this tea, and brewed two separate pots today. The last time I tried a Red Oolon...

Is there a specific one that you would recommend? Is there one you are currently drinking and enjoying at the moment? I just really want to avoid another disappointing tea, as much as possible.

Re: Leafy Green Tea

Baisao You really nailed my key issue across all three of these, consistency. While I didn't come out and say it, I was flip flopping on the medium roast and the others. I appreciate you noticing this, as I thought it was the tea, but now know it was absolutely me. Interesting! I will definitely us...

Re: Leafy Green Tea

One last post here, just for anyone wondering about this vendor: I figured out that my GI issue was a caffeine sensitivity, combined with having had a coffee before the tea, all on an empty stomach. Also, there may have been a stomach bug involved, as others in my house had a GI issue days later. Al...

Re: Leafy Green Tea

Light roast was okay. Kind of disappointing. I found I like the heavier roasted oolongs, at least out of this selection from leafy green. Per your recommendation for floating leaves, I'm going to now pursue the heavy, charcoal roasted oolong that they have. I'll post it up in the Oolong, "What are y...

Re: Leafy Green Tea

You'll hear no argument from me after the awful experience I had not long after drinking this tea. I read about this possibly being a side effect of pesticide exposure, so this stuff is potentially dangerous as well. So you know HY Chen’s teas are pesticide free with certificates. https://www.teafo...

Re: Leafy Green Tea

I never had shipping issues from them. However I did not like their tea (roasted dong ding) and do not intend to ever order from them again. But that may just be personal preference. May I ask, who do you order Dong Ding from now? I have not found this tea to be as compelling (yet) as everyone who ...

Re: Leafy Green Tea

May I ask, who do you order Dong Ding from now? I have not found this tea to be as compelling (yet) as everyone who used to rave about this in the forums (HY Chen). I still have a heavy and light roast to try, but wanted to get a vendor recommendation in case those are also disappointing. I have no...

Re: Leafy Green Tea

My issue was with what I *thought* was turning into a total lack of communication. My past experiences with vendors led me to believe this was happening to me again They did get back to me though, so I was 100% wrong in thinking that they were just not going to reply at all. Knowing how wrong I was,...

Leafy Green Tea

I am having the absolute worst experience with Leefy Green Tea. I ordered on December 16. After multiple emails, they finally responded yesterday and said it should ship that day. It did not, but even worse, they are completely non responsive again. What a rotten experience this has been. Sad that c...

Re: Red Oolong tea

helotea Thanks for creating this thread and showing us this tea. I recently discovered this type of tea, and even though it's "only" a black tea, this is one of my favorite types of tea so far. However, when I went back to order the specific one recommended to me from Regalis foods, it was sold out...
