Nice pot. This is pretty much exactly the pot I'm looking to get someday I've always enjoyed the shape of these older F1 bian deng. If I can swing one from the 60's I'll be a happy chappie.
Looking good yinyautong - I've also been lusting after more T8653 as I ran out of my last 2005 cake quite a while ago. It definitely has a signature taste. I'm comparing some 2006 and 2012 Xiaguan Yushang Gongtuo today. The 2012 stuff is still leather and artichoke, but has a very good energy and th...
I had to chuckle as take a look at what I'm drinking out of: https://klovimg.com/images/2021/12/20/20211220_122145.md.jpg https://klovimg.com/images/2021/12/20/20211220_121444.md.jpg https://klovimg.com/images/2021/12/20/20211220_121001.md.jpg https://klovimg.com/images/2021/12/20/20211220_142934.md...
I've been enjoying Lao Cong Shui Xian fairly regularly and it can definitely have a punch (especially if you add a bit of ground leaf). Eagerly awaiting some Wuyi Origin teas. I had some charcoal smoked "Dragon's-Eye Charcoal Muzha Tieguanyin" delivered a while back from Mountain Stream Teas, just t...
From a business perspective, Don and MeiLeaf have a significantly more complex and involved operation (a brick and mortar store in the middle of Camden in London as well as his own product lines and teaware ranges and online international presence). He will have to charge more (for less) because he ...
What's the name of the show out of interest? The Netflix link doesn't work for me (even with TW VPN). I found "Tea Love" (闪亮茗天 from 2015) but I suspect that's not it
white tea works for me though. Sometimes will add an orange peel ( cheng pi ) . Best wishes for fast improvement. This always seems to be the recommendation via my mother too - specifically boiled white tea with cheng pi. Sometimes she'd add some lemongrass/ginger... but mostly just white tea and o...
GTH consistently reminds me of that L.R.Hubbard quote "The best way to make money is to start a religion." I have to take an Olympic pool-sized pinch of salt to listen to WoDui (did I spell that wrong?) There are some good words hidden in the paragraphs of what is largely nonsense. At least he's enj...
Ah man those giant jars. I reckon I could fill one maybe... currently all my sheng sits in several gigantic plastic tubs with humidity packs. I open them up and air them / rotate the cakes quite a bit. I have been contemplating the whole 'crock storage' thing for a while. I have a whole bunch of tuo...
Thanks Bok - it's useful to know. I'm like that with the tea that I'm more in the habit of brewing - I'm just quite unfamiliar with this roasted twisty stuff. 5g was a bit on the weak side - upped to 8 or 9 and it's much nicer. I see these videos of people doing demoing 'Chouzhou brewing' (usually w...
Such nice teapot pics as ever @Bok Any tips on brewing up a roasted Lao Cong Shui Xian in a pot? I almost never brew dancong... or it's been a long while. I tried 5g of it in a 100ml DQN chubby ShuiPing pot - flushed with boiling spring water. I figured with the heavy roast 20 seconds for the start ...
I don't think of tea as a medicine personally. But I can agree with what Bok says. I find it mentally both stimulates and relaxes which, in itself, can help a lot when times are rough. It forces one to slow down, concentrate and focus. Sometimes that's what we (and our body and mind) need. Good luck...
