Re: What Black Are You Drinking
I've been drinking a lot of Darjeeling lately. I buy the less expensive stuff ( Margaret's hope 2nd & First flush blend from Vadham ) for everyday use and it tastes quite nice. As we got insanely busy at work last week, my tea just sat there and became stone cold. Now normally I would have dumped i...

Re: custom herbal tea to help manage my parents diabetes
Any tea will be beneficial by helping regulate blood sugar along with countless other health benefits associated with regular tea consumption. If you let them choose whatever tea they like, they're much more likely to keep consuming it as opposed to force feeding them something because it's what you...

Re: My Favourite Teas are Pu'Er and...
I've been experimenting with every type of tea from white to puer to black varieties. I tend to favor black teas like Keemum, Nilgiri, Assam and of course my favorite Darjeeling. I attempted to make my own blends and the one I keep going back to (with some quantity adjustments along the way) again a...

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
As I'm still discovering different types and varieties. I picked up a golden pu'er and am really enjoying the taste of it, but can't pin-point what I'm tasting since I have no point of reference. I'd appreciate any help in identifying it. Here's the link to it if that helps. https://theteahaus.com/b...

At first glance it looks like silver needle that has oxidized. Unfortunately I'm far from being an expert and can't understand the language printed on the packaging so that's my best guess. You can always try doing a quick steep if you feel adventurous.

pase22 it's so awesome to finally read that someone is gonna drive to a tea house to try some tea instead of agonising over samples from online vendors! Drive safe, drink well and have a great time, I'm pumped for you! Due to the current situation, I couldn't sit down and try any of their wonderful...

Re: My Favourite Teas are Pu'Er and...
Oolong and Daerjeeling are my favorite to get through the day, but I really like a strong Irish breakfast Assam as my wake up brew. I like to finish off with a nice white tea in the evening. My absolute favorite thus far is Darjeeling with Oolong not far behind. I don't particularly dislike green te...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
My question is: How much improvement should I expect with higher priced (still affordable for someone on a modest income) teas $20/3.5 oz bag? My daily teas are $10 to $20/100g. Over $20/100g starts getting expensive for me, over $50 I generally won't buy. This is very much where I stand. I just di...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
If you've read my previous posts, You know I'm very new to tea and I'm still exploring different types of teas. I've discovered that Darjeeling and Oolong are my absolute favorite of all the teas I've tried which have been on the lower end of the price scale like Wuyi rock, Pai mu tan & similarly pr...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
When I opened the bag it smelled like epoxy and it tasted like it. Am supposed to let sit out? Has this happened to anyone else? Any help would be appreciated. No such issues with the Pai mu tan or Wayu rock ( both very good ) purchased from the same vendor. Epoxy sounds like the packaging has some...

Re: What Oolong Are You Drinking
I love you oolong time! Finally received my tea order. I tried some not super high end, but much better than supermarket oolong ( Wayu rock ) and I'm really enjoying it. Darjeeling is still my favorite, but this oolong is not far behind. I also got some green gold dragon jasmine. When I opened the b...
