I drink green tea almost exclusively grandpa style since I find gongfu brewing extracts too much bitterness Sounds to me more like an issue of brewing technique... Normally if you do shorter steeps you can control exactly that. Grandpa is actually more risky to get a bitter brew as all the bitterne...

2025 long jing from a friend who recently visited me from china.

Labeling claims ming qian and hang zhou. Unlikely. However tea is pretty clean and tasty. Easily withstood long infusions at off boiling despite relatively green character - superior to some very expensive speciments sold stateside

I didnt know he is going bankrupt! I never ordered from him but ive always been keen on more naturally produced teas. Hojo sells some that i really enjoy. And the hon yama umegashima teas from thes du japon from essentially abandoned plots are also very good imo. Who else sells tokuya teas?

Heard they function well but use very standard (normal) clay that is likely industrially processed with various additives to achieve good handibility and appearance. Nothing wrong with that. But if you are looking for pots with special attention paid to clay and also handiwork - you will have to pay...
