FS: First Step to Chinese Pu'er Tea by Chan Kam Pong 1st Edition WW
Hi everyone, no doubt this feels like déjà vu, but I'm passing on this first edition book of The First Step to Chinese Pu'er Tea by Chan Kam Pong which was recently sold to me by another member here on eBay. Here was the previous thread: https://www.teaforum.org/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=1621 The book is...

Re: Do you eat any snacks with your tea?
Senbei is amazing, especially made freshly baked or grilled. I'm not sure what tea would go good with it. Risking a cliche here, but you can't go wrong with sencha, or perhaps some lighter Chinese greens. I feel like the toasty senbei (or kakipi) needs a bright tea as a counterpoint. A nutty longji...

Re: Do you eat any snacks with your tea?
I've never done so, but this thread has really given me a craving to do so.
I find Japanese snacks really delicious and addictive. Things like senbei and kakipi are so moreish

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
Thanks for the tip. Which vendor are you using? Sold out at KTM  I sourced mine from Taiwan a few years ago. The market price for these cakes is still very good there even now. Try asking John at KTM if he can source them for you and at what price. Otherwise I did source some 601 cakes (at a s...

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking
Dayi 8582 602 - taiwan+singapore storage. Costs a fraction of what the acclaimed and much hyped 8582 501/504 does, but still hits the spot very well. Highly recommend the later batch 2006 cakes for the budget conscious 8582 fans. Thanks for the tip. Which vendor are you using? Sold out at KTM

Re: Well known recipes, A Guide to?
Further thoughts" aet , you're post was really helpful about how one should proceed to learn in the journey of pu'er. It was really helpful to learn what the industry is like in China- I had no idea it was so mainstream! I had thought that it was still fairly niche and that most people drank other s...

Re: Well known recipes, A Guide to?
Gosh, thanks so much mbanu , aet and mrmopu for all the extremely thorough answers. I've learnt a lot about production techniques and how pu evolved through different countries etc What do you want from drinking pu'er? The same as what most of us want: to get the most enjoyment out of drinking. I th...

Well known recipes, A Guide to?
Hi there everyone. I'm very new to pu'er tea and have just a handful (5) of cakes. So far I've just gotten the gist of the differences between shu and sheng pu'er. Initially I really dislikes sheng but after trying and trying again I've learnt to enjoy one of my slightly older cakes. I'm still perpl...

Re: Black Tea Vendor Topic
Tea Habitat , here in Los Angeles, has some very good Chinese black teas. I’ve had her Keemun MaoFeng, it seems reasonably priced for the high quality. Oh, I know this as well, but only for their excellent Dan Cong. Imen is very knowledgeable and I'm very impressed with the finally much improved we...

Re: Black Tea Vendor Topic
I hope this is the right place to post this. This is in response to a PM by polezaivsani as I can't seem to reply to PMs just yet. I mentioned I like keemun and though I don't have a massive experience of it, I've tried several vendors for both normal and Maofeng versions. The far best I've tried an...

Re: Introduce Yourself
Hello! I'm Zac, I am 25, and I'd just like to say I'm really very happy to have found this forum by accident while fumbling in the ruins of the teachat forum. I'd long since known it was dead(-ish), and when googling the reason as to why, I came across a wonderful thread here which detailed why. I'm...
