Brewing DaXueJiaDao mao feng with different parameters: https://www.teaforum.org/viewtopic.php?p=37647#p37647 Typically for Chinese greens I start with 2-3g per 100 mL boiling water at 60s. However, being encouraged to push the tea, I tried the following: 3.5 g/ 85 mL starting at 50s 4.5 g/ 85 mL s...

Re: Daxue Jiadao 大学夹道
Well now, allow me to say that Daxue Jidao has brought some wonderful experiences to my tea drinking. I jumped into the yancha rabbit hole very early but I never got the true essence of yancha when the quality was so-so. So many times I've had yancha where the roast totally overpowered the expected...

The label is lovingly hand painted by the tea maker. ./download/file.php?id=9546 The ...

Re: Daxue Jiadao 大学夹道
Was interested in the Laocong Tieluohan Bok mentioned but felt I'd already gone overboard on costs.

tshopny review
Just a small review of the positives and negatives with my experience after putting through an order, not focusing too much on tasting notes but a broader assessment. As per usual when trying tea from a new vendor, particularly one of the more expensive side I opted for samplers. As the first negati...

Re: T SHOP NY
Was going to put an order in but didn't have a straight forward international shipping option. Anyone managed to do so before?

Re: Huangshan Maofeng
On trying the samples from the second delivery I have to admit some of the complexity and overall strength of the She Xian seems to have even faded from the samples I tried the first round. Also definitely the example I was least impressed with, even if it was still a very enjoyable tea. The flavour...

Re: Huangshan Maofeng
@Sweetestdew How many steepings do you usually expect and what brewing parameters do you typically use? I felt from the charcoal baked for example I got about 5-6 very high quality steepings and a drop off beyond that. Roughly 120ml of water for 4g. Loved reading your tasting notes. I tend to use t...

They were recommended to me by someone else on the forum and the Vendor posts here, definitely try the sampler pack. https://sweetestdew.com/co...

Re: Huangshan Maofeng
I tried the Cha Shan again today, I genuinely think my preference would be entirely mood dependent across these 3 teas. Maybe I buy another few sample packs again at some point.

Re: Huangshan Maofeng
Jeanbb, i'm interested in how you'd find the last one, which i believe would be Hou Gu - i liked it to no end (or should i say to the bottom of the bag :)). Posted my notes in the sibling thread, https://www.teaforum.org/viewtopic.php?p=28580#p28580 . I've had about the same longevity. The Hou Gu t...

Re: Huangshan Maofeng
The package came and sooner than I expected, tried both the charcoal and the wood fire. The charcoal has a definite smoky note in the earlier steepings and on the aroma but its not offputting. Similar bean, peas and overall vegetable notes to the Mei Leaf maofeng and that definitely taro sweetness b...
