Re: Pair of celadon cups

I love using them for young "substantial" sheng Pu-Erh. They enhance the body thickness very nicely.

Re: Di Cao Qing clay

Jules_Ludwig How's the new DCQ treating you?? Hello, sorry for the late reply. :) The clay is very interesting and totally different from all the other pots I own. It seems to be very pure and clean clay. It absolutely hasn't any particular clay smell. Hot water tastes fresh and pure out of the pot...

Re: Yixing for Yancha

So far I had the best results with a rather tall Duanni pot, capacity about 160ml.
In comparison with other materials it rounded the taste very nicely without taking to much.

Re: Di Cao Qing clay

Jules_Ludwig Which one did you get?? I didn't want to spend much money, but the by far prettiest I saw was from Hang Hai, a Pan Hu shape with 160ml, which is a great size. I really don't wanna brag or something... at first I didn't want to tell at all, but since some people were asking and I opened...

I chose a model from YZG, since I have always had a very nice experience with this shop. Quality- and service wise. :)
I like your pot, pretty one!

Thank you, guys.
I guess I just have to try, kinda like always if it comes to Yixing. :D
I ordered my preferred one today, I'm curious how it will work.

Re: Di Cao Qing clay

I got some and they do indeed well with many teas. I know you're more on the vintage side if it comes to pots. Are your experiences based on older pots? In this case I was thinking of a modern pot, and decent quality. Some call it a rabbit hole... Yes, you're totally right! It always feels wrong ge...

Di Cao Qing clay

Hello everybody, I read a lot about DCQ clay and that it´s supposed to be very versatile, so that kinda all types of tea turn out pretty well in it. I would love to hear about your experiences with this type of clay and if there are any recommendations with which type of tea it´ll perform well. Than...

Re: Moldy Pu'erh!!!

Strongly disagree. In western dry countries this kills tea. I use Boveda packs in my clay jars which I switch about every 2 months and I maintain a relative humidity of 55-60%, which is absolutely fine for long term storing and WILL NOT kill the tea, in fact the tea will age slower but clean and wi...

I opened up my pumidor tonight,
Is your Pumidor a closed plastic box? If so, I highly recommend not using such a box for long term storing, especially if the cakes are also humidified in the box.
I would suggest a bamboo basket, or an unglazed clay jar, that some air can circulate.
