Re: European Union EU private imports / good local vendors after summer 2021

For all EU people considering importing stuff from Japan but wary of unknown costs / paperwork / timewasters, I have a very good experience to report. Sazen Tea offer a DHL DDP (Delivered & Duty Paid) option. So far, this is the only Japanese tea store I have seen offering this or anything similar ...

Re: European Union EU private imports / good local vendors after summer 2021

This blogger ( also a TeaForum user ) compiled this long list ( 300+ ) of online tea vendors and you can sort it by "ship from" in order to locate stores that ship within the EU : https://tea-adventures.net/online-tea-shops/ Thanks for sharing! The goal with this was to make an easy overview so you...

Just to confirm, you bought the pot with the crack already there or did the pot develop the crack from your use?
I did not see it when I first got it, so I guess it appeared by using it. I noticed it one day all of a sudden.

Re: FS: LQER JLZ Wuhuini teapot

I had interest in this one and wondered who snagged it. Why haven’t you mentioned this hairline crack? ./download/file.php?id=9965 ./download/file.php?id=9966 That was not on purpose actually. I noticed it when the pot was wet soon after I bought it, but I can't see it myself anymore (when the pot ...

FS: LQER JLZ Wuhuini teapot

I have a late qing - early RoC JLZ teapot (reduction fired) for sale. I bought it a while ago but I don’t use it that much. Feel free to PM me if you want more pictures (or look at my instagram). Remarkable pot in very good condition, only a small chip on the inside of the lid. It has slight ferroma...

Re: What HeiCha are you drinking

The hot and humid weather from this morning has changed and it’s raining with a thunderstorm coming my way… Perfect weather for one of my favourite Liu Bao teas: a 4 gold coins from 2007.

The year is not that important as I like all the different ones I have tried.

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking

Starting the day with a 2007 Mangzhi sheng puerh. Stored by Sunsing Tea in Hong Kong.

Got a new teapot and wanted to try it with sheng of 10-15 years old. It’s doing a good job so far...

Re: Teasenz.com

I’ve had some teas from them last year and they were good. Nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable. I thought they were good value for the price. It was a mix of green tea, white tea and a lapsang souchong. Those were good, but I don’t know how their puerh compares to other shops... Still have some sam...

Re: What Pu'er Are You Drinking

I’m having a 2019 sheng puerh from Ailao mountain. Supposedly from gushu tea trees. Nice and gentle tea and perfect to start a sunny Sunday. ./download/file.php?id=9181 Interesting how quite a few people do like to have Puerh in the morning. For me it is definitely an afternoon/evening tea, or afte...

Re: What HeiCha are you drinking

That's really interesting ! I think I like to do just the opposite and look for less muting pots. But then again, this is why there is no such thing as a universal tea/teapot pairing. :D A thing I love about liu baos and their mouthfeel is precisely that unique dry-earthy astringency, which I was a...

Re: What HeiCha are you drinking

What do you use for Liu Bao? I feel like a less aggressive zini might do the trick. I'll try it again soon, maybe in a green label QSN. ./download/file.php?id=9178 I mainly use a modern duanni teapot. I have tried most of my Liu Bao with a modern DCQ as well, but I prefer my duanni pot. The duanni ...
