Re: TXPCeramics
Great looking work! I suspect the TXP relates to your name, but you wouldn’t happen to be located in Texas would you? Either way I second the notion of plates but also want to add in — I think bowls that are the right size for teapots are hard to come by. Either too high of walls or too short. Also ...

Re: Cleaning: Awakening & Resetting Unglazed Ceramics / Yixing
Figured I should post an update. Sodium percarbonate started to make a dent and then after maybe 5 days of bleaching it was aroma free. I steeped the spout to confirm it was also aroma free and then reattached it. However, at the tail end of a few good sessions when the steeps started to hit the lon...

Re: Cleaning: Awakening & Resetting Unglazed Ceramics / Yixing
I’ve tried every method suggested in this thread to clean a musty-moldy-gross aroma out of a pot, including sodium percarbonate and clorox. I’m contemplating just putting this pot in the oven on self clean. The pot originally had what seems to be urushi lacquer spilled on the inside. Anyone got any...

Re: Yixing
I feel like I need to counterbalance all these GIANT pots everyone is posting. Here is my latest Yixing gamble based on super blurry photos. It looks to be the smaller sized xian piao from early 60’s. You can see a very faint mark under lid which is probably 線漂 seal. It also appears to have origina...

Re: Fake teapots
Here’s a tuition pot of my own. Sold as green label, obviously not.
If anyone has comments on what it actually might be, I’d be interested.

This would probably be better than nothing, but it isn’t to hard to set something up with the proper humidity, with Mylar bags and boveda packs.

Re: Lipton teas
What might be higher quality than lipton and if its higher quality than lipton assuming its very concentrated/strong cold brew black tea, will it be the same risk or not? Will loose leaf black tea be any different than using those little bags that tea comes in lipton that are used to dunk? Almost a...
