Re: Transporting teas when moving internationally
No real experience but at one time I looked seriously into moving to Australia, and the rules seemed pretty strict.. It would be interesting if someone had actual experience in crossing this border with tea?

Re: What Black Are You Drinking
Just my little tea corner in my place. It's nothing fancy but I like the ritual of smelling, weighing, and brewing the leaves. Just some basic Twinings Earl Grey with Bergamot. ./download/file.php?id=14135 Looks cozy! I too have my roots in Twinings loose leaf Earl Grey. I just wish that local shop...

Re: "Neutral" Clays
[...] This kind of discussion ultimately needs to be grounded on something we all agree can be defined as neutral - a kind of reference standard. And then everything else can be compared to that standard. I guess the international standard tasting cup may be the closest to that. I wasn't aware of s...

Re: Assassin's Teapot
@mbanu thanks for the enlightenment!
Yeah I don't imagine them to be all too convenient. Then again neither is brewing loose leaf if you ask a random person
So anyway theoretically there might be some serious examples still in thrift stores etc.

Assassin's Teapot
Steve Mould has made an interesting video about assassins teapots . It's a cool concept where there are two internal chambers in the pot, and it's possible to choose which one to pour from. All from the same spout. Now poisoning your tea buddies would be a dumb thing to do -- unlike tealeaves, they ...

I have no experience on administrating forums, but I'd still like to post my vote for FOSS (Discourse).
It's sad to see open communities (like this one) built around proprietary platforms (like reddit for example).

Re: Your day in matcha
Hello again. My new chawan "Lady in black". External background is olive green and surface is black. Inside is mustard yellow with black running down like waterfall-interesting contrast I think. Judge for yourself. Product of Pottery Studio CorralhoPotter from Portugal. ./download/file.php?id=12976...

Re: Any good Aussie websites/vendors?
Not an Aussie but Kuura is a White2Tea style vendor down there. Mainly fresh puer.
Would like to try them myself if they weren't so far away..
Fun fact: Kuura means morning frost in Finnish.

Re: Tea houses in Budapest
Matcha Tsuki Website , Buda location , Pest location A modern cafe style matcha place mainly focusing on matcha lattes and the like. However, they do also serve ceremonial grade, which was good quality. No selection of different grades though. They have shops at two locations on different sides of ...
