Nice collection 🍃
Thank you! I seem to cycle through the same few pieces of tea ware, so these need a new home.

Might we know what said grail cup is?
It’s a Yamamoto Hiromi kyusu.

WTS A bunch of Kyusu and Hohin - Something for everyone!

Found a grail, need funds for grail! Also, my tea display overfloweth. I will not allow myself to expand my storage. So some of my lesser used pieces need a new home. Nothing wrong with any of them, I just haven’t connected with them. All prices are shipped in the US. I will ship internationally, bu...

Re: Japanese Teaware Vendor Recommendations

I had emailed him numerous times over the last year inquiring about certain pots and would never hear back, I would get distracted by another piece of tea ware and forget. I’m kind of obsessed with So Yamada right now and there was a wood fired pot I really had my eye on and I decided to finally tak...

Re: Copies of “Modern Japanese Ceramics” in stock

I received the book today and it is quite nice. Lots of photos and detailed information. The index numbering and listings has been off in a few places but with some knowledge it’s easy to navigate. For example, Jozan Miura isn’t listed in the index but is named under mumyoi-yaki, and a couple entri...

Re: Anyone ever have issues with US Customs and Fed Ex?

Thank you so much Pedant, that address did it. I ended up having to call, but it got handled and my tea ware is safe and sound, here at home.

Re: Show Off Your Teaware Displays

Very nice!!... Love the softness created by the added matte tint... brilliant idea!! Thank you. The other motivating factor is that the socket is right behind the case, sitting there, harshing my mellow. ditto! Lovely lights – and contents as far as I can see  Thank you! When I look at my ...

Re: Show Off Your Teaware Displays

Super nice light display and collection you have going Darbotek. Which LED strip did you get? I’d like to do something similar in the back of my open shelves. Thank you! These are the LEDs I bought, they have a few different options for layout. Strips with connectors, pucks, etc. WOBANE Warm White ...

I can give you their email address if you are interested.

Also I probably shouldn't promote my for sale add here, but I do have a Konishi Yohei for sale.
It’s a beautiful piece, but I have found I prefer pots that are wider than they are tall.

Re: Show Off Your Teaware Displays

Glass display case from Ikea. I would love an open shelf display, but my 5yo and cats slip in sometimes, so I wanted something with doors. I tint windows for a living, so I added some white matte film that I had lying around that looks like etched glass. Helps soften the reflection from the LED stri...

Re: Copies of “Modern Japanese Ceramics” in stock

How good or relevant is the book? It gets good reviews. I am enjoying it so far. The only bad review on Amazon is that it doesn’t cover more modern artistic pieces. It’s definitely more of a history book/general overview of specific kilns styles which is what I wanted. Lots of beautiful photos from...

Re: Japanese Teaware Vendor Recommendations

Through that site I got in contact with a company that apparently knows Konishi Yohei and sells his works pretty extensively (in china as well). The company is called "Int Group LTD" with their website http://intgroup.co.jp/ . How do you see what they have? I see their blurb about him but only 4 ph...

Re: Anyone ever have issues with US Customs and Fed Ex?

Contents are 3 cups, 4 houhin and 1 kyusu. Value is around 800 I think and I don’t have them fudge the declared value at all. I was going to check the other box I received today, to see what From Japan listed the contents as, but there is no customs form on it. No, that is a huge help thank you so m...
