Re: Breaking into a Puer Cake

He's allowed to be precious about his stuff... but if he is he'd better learn to warn people about the fact in advance. The video by Cloud, above, makes most sense to me if you need to break up a whole cake or large part thereof. For me, I'm usually breaking up 20-40g at a time. I'll usually snap of...

Re: Mei leaf

This guys is incredibally knowledgeable when it comes to tea. ... I get the whole (ohhh it’s a sales pitch) deal but he seems to back it up with knowledge. You may be (and I suspect are) confusing "knowledge" with "details". Having watched a few of his deep-dive videos and a couple of basics videos...

Re: PuLogger - Cheap DIY monitoring and control for pumidors.

Very cool indeed! Had no idea that sensors could be gotten that cheap. Though I'm more enthused by the Django application than by the actual control system, since I've been thinking of making something similar myself. Hopefully I'll have something worth getting enthused about in a couple of weeks -...

Re: PuLogger - Cheap DIY monitoring and control for pumidors.

This is so bad ass. One day, I hope to find some time to learn basic coding. I would definitely set this up. Thank for sharing, Atlas!!! Tyvm! Arduinos are a great way to get started imo - sing out if you ever want any help navigating the available options/approaches. It's worth noting that I've re...

young sheng has been consistently frustrating - I've kept well within appropriate parameters and my tea is still going awry.
What is happening currently, and how does this differ from what you are attempting to achieve?

Additionally, how do you imagine your two ideas would improve the situation?

Re: Whole room humidifiers for storing puerh?

Evaporative humidifiers with a bacteriostatic solution are probably your best bet. If your water isn't too hard you shouldn't be replacing filters more than once every 3-6 months. Honeywell makes a good one. The bottle of bacstat will last you ages. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FJTVHKO/ref=o...

"Mold's hypae (root structures) actually grow into wood and drywall like roots. The hyphae are not killed by bleach because bleach's ion structure prevents chlorine from penetrating into porous materials such as drywall and wood. It stays on the outside surface, whereas mold has protected enzyme ro...

bleach won’t penetrate porous surfaces, only the water penetrates, while chlorine stays on surface
Unless there's something very weird and specific going on related to pore size of clay I'm not aware of, this is not the case.

The 2007 Shou Mei White Cake from Fuding that Adrian shared with us was really good. Am tempted to join this group buy  Love your writing style Atlas. Tyty, you're very kind.
