Re: Yixing

@DailyTX

I am not sure about the DuanNi pot, but I don't think they are from F1.

I've also got a similar pot to this one. :) I don't know if you remember it.

Another one: https://ching158.pixnet.net/blog/post/1 ... 宗一廠-早期-海棠壺 (not from the 60s in my opinion)

Re: Yixing

@steanze I asked him once for more photos of a specific teapot and he replied immediately. Very nice guy :D Not trying to hurt anybody's feelings :lol: ... but in my opinion, his collection is the best you can find on the Internet. He's got many very beautiful pieces in his collection.

ShiDeng pot haha post some photos when you are done cleaning :)
You are right, it's a Gao Shi Deng pot. ;) Maybe I'll post another pot first. But I have to wait for a clear sky. It's very dark outside this time of year.

@DailyTX

Yes, I'm still active :) and I've acquired some pots lately. But I'm still in the process of cleaning them. This is the newest pot. It's from 1960.

Re: Yixing

I have no luck finding info on F1 large persimmon pots with this type of lid. The lid style is pretty common. Your pot could be from F1 in my opinion. I've got a confirmed one with a similar lid but with different clay (not coated). My teapot looks like the last one. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bby...

Re: All about silver

Any thoughts on the performance of the pot? Which teas have you tried and which one came out top? I have had a weak moment a few days back and ordered one from Yunnansourcing. But it hasn‘t arrived yet and wont probably for a few weeks. Shipping takes usually about 3-4 weeks. I ordered this one btw...

I think this is worth sharing: Yixing The Queen of Teapots. It's an interesting documentary about Yixing teapots... with examples of different processing methods :) With the first DVD , let’s go for a fabulous journey to the land of the finest teas, follow the path of the East India Company, and lea...
